Well, if you haven’t seen us in an appointment recently, we have some great news to share: we have a bun in the oven and are expecting him due on 11.11.11!  It’s truly been a whirlwind of work, morning sickness and migraines-without-painkillers (ugh!) since we found out, and I’m personally amazed at how much work I’ve gotten done this past spring and summer despite it all!  Thankfully, I’m feeling much, much better nowadays.  Now that the summer is over, I’m working on getting our site up to date before our little dude arrives.  We have done a huge amount of amazing custom work over the past few months, and I really can’t wait to share it with everybody.

I always knew that once we started having kids, we would definitely be expanding on our collection to include designs for baby shower invitations and baby announcements.  Well, this time has come and what better way to start than with the designs I created for us!

Since our families live pretty far from each other in the opposite directions, it was most convenient to everyone for us to have two showers, so naturally this meant coming up with two designs.  (Technically it didn’t have to mean that, but what can I do–I’m a designer!)  The first design I’m posting is for the shower for my side of the family.  One of my favorite things in the world is baby elephants, so I created this little graphic illustration and combined it with one of my favorite patterns – the chevron.  Check out the Baby Elephant design in our collection portfolio for more color combos.  I’ll have the other design posted soon!
