OUR STORY

Welcome to Señor & Señora, a boutique design studio specializing in invitations, announcements and other fine paper goods. Señor & Señora is literally Carrie and Dave Acosta. Carrie is a successful photographer by trade that has also been designing on the side for several years. When the time came to tackle the most difficult of projects—designing for her own wedding—social design quickly became a passion. With their ceremony and reception set at the Detroit Zoo, their invitation suite was destined to be a bit wild. Shortly after sending the invites out, requests from family and friends (and their family and friends) started to pour in. Soon enough, the illustration talent that is her husband, Dave, was brought into the mix and Señor & Señora was born!

CARRIE ACOSTA

Carrie graduated from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan with a BFA in Photography. She worked at a graphic design firm before starting her own photography business, Carrie Acosta Photography. She also teaches photography part-time at Oakland Community College. Carrie enjoys playing cello, listening to music, sci-fi, laser tag, hanging with her dog, and riding her motorcycle now and then.

DAVE ACOSTA

Dave graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA. He does freelance comic book illustration and lettering. He plays guitar in a heavy rock band and spends most of his free time drawing and perfecting his skills. He enjoys John Carpenter movies, sci-fi, local rock, comic books and british sitcoms.
